Straka Card Game

In a Sociology course examining web-based communication and digital participatory culture, a few of my classmates and I collaborated on the creation of a fully playable card game based on the novel S. by Doug Dorst and J.J. Abrams as a final examination of the course material.

Like the novel it is based off of, the card game involves elements of memory, deception, collaboration, and identity. Alongside the gameplay, the design of the playing cards pay homage to the themes and visual elements found throughout the book, and incorporates locations, items, characters, and other aspects from the novel.
